TCR Horsemanship Camps 2021>>

This 3-day camp has just been added!  
$400  Tues-Thurs. Due to the demand for sign-ups for summer camp, we have added a 3-day summer camp! Deposit is the same as other camp options. Balance can be paid on the first day of camp.

Our camps are for beginning riders. Campers will explore different types of riding: English, Western, bareback, games, and trail riding. Every day includes a different, fun activity with horses. There may be dress-up, painting horses, time with mini horses, and more.  Thursday is game day for parents to come to watch their campers show off the new skills learned during the week.  Campers will participate in daily chores and horse care (including nutrition, vet & farrier work). Campers will learn horse safety, horse behavior, grooming, braiding, and bathing. Our camps change from year to year to make it fun and educational each time our campers attend.



Time: 9-2 Monday- Thursday. (While camp lasts until 2 on Thursday, 10:00-12 is game time for parents and family to watch.)

Ages: 5.5-12 boys and girls (turning 6 within the summer/fall months ok)

Cost: $500 Deposit $200

· T-shirts for each camper, please put size needed when registering for camp

· Please bring long pants for riding, sunscreen, water bottles, closed-toed shoes

· Helmets are available for camp. However, if you want to purchase your own helmet contact Colorado Tack and Supply  https://www.coloradotackandsupplyco.com.

· Campers bring snack/sack lunches M-Thursday. TCR will not provide food. Please be sure you notify the camp director of any allergies or allergic reactions on the registration form.

· Horsemanship camps fill quickly! We do work off a waiting list when dates fill.

Summer Camp Operations Update: Triple Creek Ranch will be following the Colorado Department of Public Health Guidelines for day camps.  We have changed our operating procedure in light of the current public health directives at Day Camps and will follow current Boulder County recommendations. 

1. Per the CO Department of Public Health and Environment, Day camps are permitted to have maximum group sizes of 25.

  •  We have limited our registration to 22 campers at this time, reduced from our usual 30.

  • TCR's small groups will be limited to 11 campers. 

  • We will be limiting cohorts to small groups, within the capacity of our camp. Cohorts (groups) will move together, dine together, learn and ride, play together.    

2. Check-in on the first day of camp:

  •  Campers will be assigned a group and camp station where campers will report to the lst day of camp and each day after. 

  • Waivers/paperwork and balance of camp fees will be required in advance through email and PayPal. You will be receiving this information with a camp letter the week before camp. This will expedite sign-in on the lst day of camp. 

  • Face faces are required for adults and social distancing at check-in. Outdoor stations will be set up on the lst day of camp for check-in.

  • Check-in will be limited to one parent for drop off the lst day of camp.

  • Check-in and check out after Monday morning will be done like your drive-up drop-off/pick up for school. Staff will meet you on the driveway check-in and check out from your car. 

  • You will be provided a drop off time/pick up time within 10 minutes to stagger timing and limit traffic. These times will be provided in the camp letter prior to Monday check-in. You will come down the driveway and drop off/pick up between the barns. Please follow the signs. You will be given a name card for the front of your dash so we can see your camper's last name as you pull up.

3. TCR will be following the CO Department of Public Health guidelines for hygiene and safety for both campers and staff. 

  • Personal hygiene will be a priority with numerous hand-washing times throughout the day as well as the plentiful use of hand sanitizer.

  • Staff and volunteers will be screened for symptoms of COVID as well as have temperatures taken and logged. They are trained on the current protocols from the CDPH. 

  • Upon arrival, campers will be screened for symptoms via a health questionnaire to parents. Questionnaires will be in parent letter sent out a week before camp starts.

  • Drop off/pick up, meal times and learning stations will be staggered 

  • There will be no food served or shared at camp. 

  • We ask that you educate your camper about COVID 19 and our procedures so they understand what to expect while at camp. We will have an overview for campers and questions on the first day of camp. 

  • If there were to be confirmed cases with a positive test within the camp or our community then we will immediately alert parents, suspend operations and CDPH will be contacted. 

  • We will require face masks or coverings whenever possible for staff and volunteers

  • Children under 12 are not required to wear face mask per the health Department

4. If anybody directly connected to a camper, parent, sibling, nanny, etc have any illness symptoms we will not allow the camper at camp. 

  • This includes cough, fever, any sinus symptoms, etc. 

  • We appreciate your respect for this as we strive to keep our community healthy.  We ask for your help and honesty in maintaining our healthy environment for all campers and staff.   


TCR Camp Overview:

  • From the moment your child arrives on the ranch they will be put into their assigned groups with different "home bases" to ensure that we continue with our small groups. They will have a group leader whom they will with the whole week and two helpers. 

  • We will be rotating to the different learning stations throughout the day around the large facility, for example, riding, learning horsemanship, and caring for their horses all in different locations. Each time they rotate there will be a hand-washing stop.

  •  Lunches will be in their small groups, in two different locations, as well as their afternoon activity. 


We will be doing our best to practice and emphasize realistic social distancing, but working with children in this capacity we cannot guarantee the 6 feet apart will happen 100% of the time. Children are always drawn to each other, however, we will do our best within the small group structure to minimize contact and maximize hygiene. 


Cancellation Policy 

In the event that the current camp dates are required to change by state or local mandates, TCR will refund your deposit in its entirety. 


  • If you choose to change your plans in light of the COVID virus and public health, we are also happy to reimburse you up to two weeks before camp starts. 

  • Any normal illness symptoms are nonrefundable. Missed camp days are nonrefundable. 

TCR is very much looking forward to seeing the children discover and rediscover the love of horses at our camps. We look forward to seeing the facility full of camper smiles and giggles.
