Multiple camp options so your horse-crazy camper can experience all types of fun with horses this summer at any level of experience.

 

Horsemanship Camp:

Beginner or returning camper that has limited experience with horses. Campers have hands-on experiences all day with the horses, while also learning responsibility through horse care and chores. Ride English, western and bareback to learn each of the different disciplines. TCR is dedicated to providing each camper with new and exciting experiences. Our camps change yearly so our returning campers are always excited about returning each summer.

 

TCR Advanced Camps: 

Boot Camp and Drill Team Camp for campers that have experience with riding. Drill Team riders must be able to walk/trot/ and control a horse. Boot Camp riders must be able to walk/trot/canter a horse. These camps challenge riders to advance their skill level along with having fun with the horses.

~TCR Drill Team Camp~

June 24th-28th
Camp performance on the 28th 6:00

 

Drill team is a group of horses and riders working together to create a choreographed dance-like performance on horseback with music. This camp will sharpen a riders control of the horse's speed, with precision riding, while working with other riders as a team. Riders love this camp, as they work so hard all week for their big performance! Performance Friday at 5:00 for family and friends! 

 

·      DEVELOP leadership abilities, build character and experience pride. PROMOTE social skills, teamwork, responsibility, friendships. CREATE a choreographed routine to music, design costumes, performing in front of an audience

·      Horsemanship skills, bareback, moving dismounts, control, and safety with qualified riding instructors

·      We welcome you to bring your own horse to Drill Team.

Details:

·      Ages 9-14 Girls and Boys Max: Only 12 riders per camp

  Monday –Thursday 9-2… Friday 1-6 Friday camp hours 1:00-6:00 (5:00 Presentation)

·      Riding experience: English or Western riding.  Experience level must be able to walk/trot and control a horse.

·      All materials for costumes provided. Camp tee shirt made by campers for performance. Please include tee shirts size at sign up.

·      Campers bring snack/sack lunches M-Fri. TCR will not provide any food for campers. Water bottles a must.

·      Riding boots, riding pants, helmets (TCR does have schooling helmets to use)

·      Please be sure you notify the camp director of any allergies or allergic reactions we should be aware of. 

·      Cost: $500 Deposit: $200 (Nonrefundable) due two weeks prior to the camp date with registration forms. Camp balance due 1st day of camp.

~ TCR Horsemanship Camp ~

June 10th -14th
July 8th - 12th
July 15th - 19th
August 5th - 9th

 

For the beginner rider. Campers explore different types of riding, English, western, bareback, games and trail riding. Every day is a different fun activity with the horses including dress up, painting horses, mini horses and more. Friday is game day for parents to come to watch their campers show off the new skills they have learned during the week.  Daily chores, horse care including nutrition, vet & farrier work. Campers will learn horse safety, horse behavior, grooming, braiding and bathing.

TCR offers 4 horsemanship camps yearly due to the demand of its popularity! Our camps change year to year to make it fun and educational each time our campers attend.

 

Details:

Time: 9-2 Monday-Friday. Friday 10:00-12 game day for parents and family.

Ages: 5.5-12 boys and girls (turning 6 within the summer/fall months ok)

Cost: $500 Deposit $200

  • T-shirts for each camper, please put size needed when registering for camp

  • There’s always something to learn about horses in our camps.

  • Please bring long pants for riding, sunscreen, water bottles, closed toed shoes

  • Helmets and heeled boots are mandatory and can be borrowed from the ranch if you do not have your own. Limited boots sizes.

~TCR Eventing Youth Boot Camp ~

June 4TH - 7TH

 

Four day intensive camp for youth riders who are ready to explore eventing or improving their riding skills no matter what discipline they ride. Campers train with workouts geared towards fitness including: nutrition, yoga and working with fitness pro’s. Riding time will be intensive lessons including:  A dressage “Ride a Test” with a qualified judge, gymnastic exercises, cross country jumping, independent seat development and course work. This challenging camp is open to riders who have started over cross rail fences and have control at the walk, trot and canter.  Personal horses welcome.
